Lore About SCP-173

SCP-173, also known as "The Statue" (or "Peanut" by the community), is a concrete statue that can only move when there are no observers. Essentially, it moves whenever someone breaks line of sight, whether that be looking away or simply blinking. SCP-173 only attacks by breaking the neck of its target. SCP-173 is extremely quick and can easily close large gaps within the blink of the human eye, meaning even just blinking can be fatal. It also sometimes excretes some sort of blackish-brownish substance onto the floor when not looked at. For this reason, D-Class personnel are required to enter SCP-173's containment chamber regularly to clean up the mess. SCP-173 is also the first SCP to ever exist. Originating form a 4-Chan post back in 2007, kickstarting the SCP wiki and entire SCP universe.

Gameplay About SCP-173

SCP-173, like the other SCPs, only sticks to the lore when it doesn't restrain gameplay. Meaning that it only can't move when observed by a human, other SCPs can look at it just fine. SCP-173 has four abilities: Reinforced Concrete, Tantrum, Blink, Breakneck Speeds. Reinforced Concrete is a passive ability that gives SCP-173 armor that only applies to health (no hume shield). Tantrum is an active ability, SCP-173 if not observed, can leave a pool of blackish-brownish substance on the floor, slowing down any human that walks through. Blink is an active ability, when looked at by a human, SCP-173 cannot move until a timer hits zero. When the timer hits zero, SCP-173 is allowed to move and attack; if landing on a human, the human will die via a broken neck. Breakneck Speeds is an active ability that allows SCP-173 to travel super fast, however, SCP-173 cannot kill in this state. SCP-173 is best utilized as a scout/tank based role. It has the highest health and speed out of all SCPs, but heavily struggles against large groups of armed humans. SCP-096 and SCP-173 can also make a deadly combo, as you have to look at one or it will kill you but the other will also kill you if you look at it.
