SCP-049, also known "The Doctor", is a humanoid medieval plague doctor. SCP-049 has the sole mission to cure what it calls the "pestilence". How SCP-049 detects the "pestilence" in people is unknown, but when it does, SCP-049 will attempt to cure them. SCP-049 will physically touch the individual, once touched, the individual will immediately lose their life. SCP-049's robe is actually part of SCP-049, as in the robe is SCP-049 "skin". After touching and killing the individual, SCP-049 will begin to "cure" the corpse. The cured corpse will turn into an instance of SCP-049-2, a zombie like creature. SCP-049-2 are considered hostile to humans, and should be dealt with swiftly. Additionally, in the game that SCPSL's based on, SCP: Containment Breach, SCP-049 is voiced by the Youtuber, The Volgun.
SCP-049 could be considered as the weakest SCP, as it takes two hits in quick succession to kill a human and has one of the lowest health and speed among the SCPs. However, what SCP-049 lacks in direct strength, SCP-049 brings in numbers. SCP-049 has the ability to bring back any recently deceased corpse into SCP-049-2, zombies. SCP-049-2 are extremely formiddable and are not to be messed with, despite only possessing 400 health and taking 3 hits to kill a human. SCP-049 has four abilities: Cardiac Arrest, Good Sense of the Doctor, Waste Not Want not, and The Doctor's Call. Cardiac Arrest is an active ability that is the only way for SCP-049 to directly kill humans, it will touch a human and give them caridac arrest. Cardiac Arrest will kill any human unless that have enough healing items or an addrenaline. This means that touching a human will usually kill someone, but it's not guaranteed. Good Sense of the Doctor is an active ability, when looking at a human SCP-049 can gain a burst of speed and a glowing red marker on the human. Waste Not, Want Not is an active ability that allows SCP-049 to revive recently dead humans into SCP-049-2. The Doctor's Call is an active ability, all nearby SCP-049-2 instances will passively gain Hume Shield up to 100, and a purple marker will show SCP-049's location.
